Earlier today, SEGA announced the next 10 titles the Genesis Mini will be receiving. Those titles being:

The Genesis had a lot of amazing titles, and there will always be a handful of titles that people will feel are missing, but in general, the Genesis Mini has a fantastic lineup of games.
SEGA has released Genesis Classic Collections multiple times, as early as the SEGA Dreamcast. However, SEGA announced at SEGA FES 2019 that they would be working with Third party Companies to bring classic titles to the Mini Console, and that showed a lot of promise. SEGA has shown that by giving multiple titles such as Castlevania: Bloodlines, Contra: Hard Corps, and Earthworm Jim, some of the best games the system had to offer.
When talking about the Genesis Mini, immediately a conversation about the Super Nintendo Mini gets brought up. The Super Nintendo Mini was not perfect, but it was full of classics that the system was known for, and thus the Genesis Mini is going to be very similar in presentation. Classics such as Sonic 1 and 2 are there, cult Classics such as Altered Beast and Comix Zone are there, and it's funnytot see ToeJam and Earl release on the Genesis Mini when ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove released last March.
That said, as seen with the recent Playstation Classic, it is not just about presentation, but also performance. The Playstation Classic was plaqued with hardware problems, PAL ROMs, and an interface that leaves much to be desired. There is still not a lot of information about the hardware, but knowing SEGA AM2, the hardware and software running the games should be up to standard.
There are still a few titles missing, and below is a small list of recommendations from the employees here at Night At The Arcades, but the Genesis Mini is shaping up to be a classic console! The Genesis Mini will release on September 19, 2019, and will have an MSRP of $79.99.
