SEGA Rocks Japan at TGS

SEGA is a name that holds a lot of integrity in many people's hearts, and while they have had their ups and downs over the years, their presentation at TGS 2018 shows that they are working hard to produce high-quality titles, not just for the Japanese Market, but for the International Market.

To kick things off, SEGA announced one of their biggest projects years in development. Judge Eye (Judge Eyes) is Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios, creators of Yakuza and Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise, newest Open-World Brawling Adventure. You play as the character Takayuki Yagami, played by Kimura Takura, as an Investigative Detective in Kabukicho, Tokyo. Judge Eyes seeks to be a Crime-Drama Action game, with many actors well known for Japanese Crime Dramas and 90s Godzilla Films. A demo was released on Japanese PSN Store the same day it was announce. The demo is roughly 40 minutes long, and has the player chasing down a suspect. Gameplay is a mix of investigation and combat, with combat seeming to be evolved from Yakuza 6. While not a whole lot is known about Judge Eyes, a Western 2019 Release was announced. Judge Eyes is set to release in Japan this December, but be on the look-out for when it comes out in the West next year.

Atlus fans will be happy to hear that Catherine: Full Body received multiple announcements and new trailer for TGS 2018. The game will feature an Updated and Expanded Story, Updated Multiplayer, 10 DLC Character Voices for the Character Catherine, ad all new Animation from Studio 4'C. While it is unclear if Catherine: Full Body will come with the Original Version of Catherine, or if Catherine: Full Body is completely different from the Original, fans will be happy to hear that the classic Puzzle Climbing Gameplay will return to their hands very soon. For Japanese Markets, a Dynamit Full Body Box Set was announced, which will include a Full Body 44 Page Artbook, 4 Music Soundtrack CDs, 10 Catherine Voices Set, and a Set of Nero Glasses. There will also be Nero Glasses DLC included in the Box, which allows Vincent to see the other characters in the game in Sexy Lingerie (Both Male and Female Characters). There will also be DLC included in the Box which allows you to play as The Protagonist from Persona 5 in the Nightmare Levels. Catherine: Full Body will release on Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita on Valentine's Day (February 14, 2019) in Japan, with a US release soon to be announced.

Allso for Persona Fans out there, SEGA will have a Mini-Concert Live from Tokyo Game Show...

15:45 JST to 16:15 JST - Persona 5 Mini Concert and Talk Show - After surpassing 2.2 million units worldwide, Persona 5 also has an ongoing TV anime. With its climax close at hand, Persona 5 vocalist Lyn sings on stake. Featuring Lyn (vocalist), Chiaki Matsuzawa (freelance announcer), and more.

While there is still some confusion about how much SEGA is involved, Space Channel VR: Kinda Funky Edition was showcased at TGS 2018. Space Channel 5 was one of SEGA's Mascots 20 years ago when the SEGA Dreamcast was at the height of its popularity. Originally released in the year 2000, Space Channel 5 is a Story-Progressed Rhythm game in where you play as Ulala, the Host of the News Broadcast Channel Space Channel 5. While it is unclear Space Channel VR: Kinda Funky Edition is a remake of the first game, an expanded version, or perhaps a sequel, it is still fantastic to see Space Channel 5 return to modern consoles. While a price and release date have yet to be announced, Space Channel 5 VR: Kinda Funky Edition has a confirmed US Release. Most likely next year, you will get a chance to dance again with Ulala on Space Channel 5!
